This is Ruislip Lido: a popular spot for a picnic in an area of beauty and with some lovely walks. You can catch a miniature train to the far side of the water for a stroll in he woods. Unfortunately, it no longer serves the purpose of a swiming area, since it was abandoned in the 1970s and evenutally became so rundown that swimming is no longer a safe choice.
