The Lido at Ruislip was developed into a Lido, from 1933, which continued to be successful until the 1970s, when the Council raised admission prices to such an extent, that no one could afford to go anymore. It became rundown and only good for an afternoon stroll.
These days the old Lido building has been replaced by a pub and there is a miniature railway which takes you to the far sayde of the water. There is a popular picnic area here, which has free admission.
